The year it all started was 1983 in a 750 square foot basement. In 1985, we expanded to a 2500 square foot facility. Then, in 1992, we expanded to a 10,000 square foot factory. Finally, in 2002, our expansion landed us in a 33,000 square foot facility. We started our business doing primarily refacing cabinets and doing custom laminate countertops. After sensing the demand for brand new cabinetry instead of cabinet refacing, we started building brand new cabinetry, thus the resulting need in the continuous expansions. Our original strategy held Add-Life Kitchens in the retail market only. While venturing into the brand new cabinet manufacturing industry, we decided to branch out to the wholesale market as well. Consequently, we not only do both cabinet refacing and brand new custom cabinetry, we also sell directly to the public as well as to various dealers throughout Upstate New York. With the two of our latest expansions, we have been breathing new life into our 24 Willow St. residence; an old historic mill building, located just off Locust Avenue, in Amsterdam, New York. We are in the continuous process of remodeling this building which houses our manufacturing departments, as well as our custom cabinetry showroom.
